Understanding 6502 assembly on the Commodore 64 - (4) RECAP AND DEVTOOLS INTRO

There is no greater method, to study the inner workings of the the C64 than that which was demonstrated in the previous posts.  The ability to modify memory addresses in real time simply cannot be matched.

We watched how, not a computer program, but a human being executed a series of instructions on a computer, achieved a desired output.  Lets look at our instructions in order.

  1. Nice series of articles Jordan! For those interested in creating C64 programs in Windows I highly recommend CBM prog Studio by a good friend of mine named Arthur Jordison (http://www.ajordison.co.uk/).

    This IDE can handle sprite creation, character graphics, or just plain BASIC code.

  2. I have seen CBM prog Studio which you have mentioned, however it only runs on windows and not Linux. An attempt to run it on wine for the purposes of testing showed it ran, but not correctly. Id be happy to see a Linux variant of this hit the net.
